SUPPORT OUR ORGANIZATION Southern Oregon Blackout is a self-funded, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization which offers a variety of practices, scrimmages, condition training and participate in many tournaments throughout the year. We focus on developing the physical and mental toughness needed to succeed and are dedicated to enhancing players’ conditioning and athletic skills, as well as helping develop their character. Our program is designed to teach and develop the girls to play softball at the highest level of competition. There is a fall and spring season along with winter training in order to give the girls more opportunity to improve and compete at a higher level. We are seeking sponsorships to maintain leasing practice and game fields, purchase new equipment to replace older ones, help continue to expand our organization with additional coaches and players, and give these girls the best possible softball experience. It is through the generous support of our members and local businesses that we are able to continue to provide positive youth sports to the children of our community. With this in mind, we are asking for your support in sponsoring our organization. Help support us to raise the necessary funds for all our Blackout teams for the 2024 season! Web Administrator Mar 24, 2024 Blackout Gilinsky10U finished the weekend 4-3 and runner up in Spring Fling 10U Tourney in Medford, Oregon. Weekend Summary The Southern Oregon Blackout 10U Gilinsky team played hard against the other teams in the tournament over the weekend as they ended up with a gutsy 4-3 record and runner up to the Southern Oregon Blackout Simeona 10U. In the championship round, the number one seed Blackout Simeona 10U and sister team Blackout Gilinisky 10U were slated to do battle again . Once again, Blackout Simeona 10U scored 12 runs and held Blackout Gilinisky scoreless to claim the championship trophy winning 12-0 . You could say it was a great weekend for all the Southern Oregon Blackout teams as they all showed up and represented the organization well. Previous Next

< Back Blackout 18U Brown Runner Up in Redding Round Up 18U Tournament. Web Administrator Jan 29, 2024 Resilience and grittiness falls just short in the championship game. Weekend Summary The Southern Oregon Blackout 18U Brown team displayed a showcase of resilience and grittiness against the other teams in the tournament over the weekend as they ended up with a 4-2 record and second place overall. Blackout went 2-1 on a wet and rainy day on Saturday in Redding (CA) and earned the third seed for bracket play on Sunday. First game was against a familiar foe in Powerhouse Fastpitch (Medford, OR) , who gave Blackout their only loss in pool play. Powerhouse Fastpitch held the lead for most of the game 4-0, but the bats turned hot for Southern Oregon Blackout as they scored four late runs to send the game into extra innings. In overtime, Blackout held Powerhouse scoreless and allowed Southern Oregon to score the winning run to move on to the next game. In game two, Blackout jumped on High Desert Renegades (Bend, OR ) with 4 runs and had to hold down the stretch with great defense to win 4-2. The championship game was even early on against Firecrackers Leles (Rancho Cordova, CA) until the Firecrackers scored the next 6 runs in a span of two innings to take a 7-1 lead. Southern Oregon Blackout chipped away at the lead and got within 1 run late in the game thanks to a 3-run homerun shot by Amanda Hammer with two outs. Despite the effort, the Firecrackers got the final out and the game was over. Previous Next

< Back Morton-12U finishes Gold 2nd Place at Bend Summer Clash Tournament Web Administrator Jun 3, 2024 Blackout fell short in the championship game to Deschutes Defenders Weekend Summary The Southern Oregon Blackout 12U Morton team displayed dominance against the other teams in the tournament over the weekend as they ended up runner-up in the gold bracket with a 4-1 record. Blackout Morton 12U opened pool play with a 7-1 victory against JR Ravens 12U on Saturday. This was followed up with two more victories over Sunwest Softball 12U (9-1) and Wilsonville Wildcats (19-0) to give Blackout the number one seed going into Sunday . In the gold bracket on Sunday, #1 seed Morton 12U faced off against #10 seed Oregon Wildcats and had to come from behind to win 8-6. In the semi-final round, #1 seed Blackout Morton 12U played much better and cruised to a 12-2 victory over #4 seed Crossfire - Fore. In the championship round, Blackout Morton 12U tied the game in the fifth inning 6-6 after falling behind early to the #4 seed Deschutes Defenders. < Back Black Out Team Tryouts On May 5th! Web Administrator May 6, 2024 TRYOUTS - All Teams (14U, 16U, 18U) at Fagone Field in Medford Oregon. Blackout will be hosting open tryouts for the upcoming summer season. Tryouts will take place at Fagone Field in Medford and will be held on Sunday May 5th. We strongly encourage everyone that is interested in joining the program to participate and show up. We also welcome those seeking to know more about us to stop in and ask any questions you may have about our upcoming summer season. Player participants, don't forget to pre-register today!
